Lucan Branch

The Lucan branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann was re-formed in September 2008 after an absence of over 10 years. Following Covid, the branch found it difficult to function and entered a hibernation period. This September (2024) the branch will be re-established and begin offering classes again. The branch is run by a committee of committed volunteers who are elected by the members every year at it's Annual General  Meeting.  The Primary goal of the branch is to promote Irish Traditional Music, song, dance and the Irish language in the community by providing opportunities for people to learn and use these cultural traditions.  The branch does this through the organising of classes, workshops and through activities such as sessions, public performances and through participation in local festivals such as the Lucan Festival, the Saint Patrick's Day Festival and the Ruaille Buaille Children's Festival.
