Set Dancing
Due to circumstances beyond our control the weekly Thursday session in Courtneys has been cancelled.
We will try to find a new venue for a regular session.
Set Dancing Classes take place on Wednesday nights in Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club.

Membership for 2010 - 2011
We now have a standard application form to complete for membership Membership Form Please download the form to your computer ( if you click on the link you will be given the option to save). Once you have saved the form please print it and manually enter the relevant details. Once completed it should be returned with the appropriate fee to the local branch, or if you are unsure, contact us for advice (see Contact Us on left of web page). We’re a non-profit cultural movement with hundreds of local branches around the world, and as you can read in our history we’ve been working for the cause of Irish music since the middle of the last century (1951 to be precise). Our efforts continue with increasing zeal as the movement launches itself into the 21st century. Lucan Comhaltas is our local branch in Lucan. We were set up in Gaelscoil Naomh Pádraig in June 2008 with our first official committee meeting in September 2008. SessionsThe next "slow session" will be held in Lucan Sarsfields on the 25th March at 4pm. Comhaltas Trad/Ballad Session Monthly in Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club. All musicians and singers welcome. Next session Sat 31st March.. Slow Session (for beginners, intermediate and rusty musicians) monthly in Lucan Sarsfields 4pm Sunday the 25th March. This is also an opportunity for younger accomplished musicians to play in a session enviroment (at 5pm). . Weekly sessions
We are endeavouring to find a new location for our weekly Traditional Irish Music sessions, All sessions are open to members and non members and are free of charge. If you know of a Session in or near Lucan please let us know so we can post it here. |
